Sales Manager MacNaughton Hospitality

 

MacNaughton Hospitality is seeking a Sales Manager for Waikiki Malia.

 

Scope of Position:  This position is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for the wholesale, group and travel agent markets that will continuously improve market share and profitability for the hotel. This position will work in conjunction with MacNaughton Hospitality’s Director of Commercial Strategy to execute sales performance and produce results for the hotel’s ownership.

 

Job Functions:

 

  • Provide leadership in sales for the hotel in order to improve performance.
  • Maintain a good awareness of Oahu market conditions, pricing trends, seasonality and mix of business.
  • Exceed budgeted rooms revenues and demonstrate positive RevPar penetration growth.
  • Communicate regularly with Director of Commercial Strategy & Director of Revenue Strategy regarding progress toward goals, produce monthly reports and actively participate in RevMax meetings.
  • Develop relationships with HTA contractors including HVCB & Oahu Visitor’s Bureau.
  • Regularly meet and strengthen relationships with top wholesale accounts for Hotel.
  • Monitor production of wholesale accounts, participate in promotions, recommend revenue strategy for account, review comp set pricing and maximize channel production.
  • Conduct property site visits with wholesale, group and travel agents.
  • Work with Corporate Marketing team to ensure marketing represents the appropriate image and tone for the properties including flyers and presentations.
  • Conduct regular property visits of competitor hotels to identify areas of opportunity and develop strategic action plans.
  • Build/maintain relationship and trust with property GM through consistent and honest communication.

Job Requirements

 

Education & Experience:

 

  • A minimum of three (3) years work experience in a hotel sales field or sales related position, ideally with Waikiki market experience.
  • Travel may be required.

 

Physical Demands:

 

  • Long hours may be required, including nights and weekends.
  • Medium Work – Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand for long hours at a time.
  • Available to travel

  • Resourcefulness – ability to problem solve independently
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Sales negotiating abilities.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written.
  • Computer Skills including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel are required. Experience with hotel computer systems a plus.
  • Planning and organizational abilities.

Employment Type:
Full Time

Compensation:
$80,000.00 to $90,000.00 / Year
