Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and dependable On-Call Dietary Aide to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and well-prepared meals while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and dining areas. This is an on-call position, meaning shifts will be assigned as needed to cover staffing shortages, absences, or busy periods.
Responsibilities:
Assist in meal preparation and food service according to dietary guidelines.
Serve meals to residents in a timely and friendly manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas.
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation standards.
Follow all food safety regulations and facility policies.
Assist with inventory and stocking of food supplies as needed.
Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other team members to ensure excellent service.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred, but not required.
Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures (or willingness to learn).
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays as needed.
