Bartender

GENERAL SUMMARY: Bartenders serve food and beverages in a friendly, courteous, responsible and timely manner. Bartenders are to ensure all guests receive the best possible experience, and should demonstrate a complete knowledge of your restaurant and a genuine passion for service.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Contributes to building and maintaining a positive work culture at all times
  • Flexible schedule, especially during busy seasons
  • Must be in possession of a valid Blue Card prior to hire (issued by the HI County Dept of Liquor Control) prior to start of first shift
  • A dependable means of transportation to and from work for all days scheduled
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle guest requests and needs in a professional and pleasant manner
  • Knowledge of Liquor Commission standards, company alcohol policies

  • Restaurant experience

  • Food safety/sanitation knowledge

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates and fosters a positive environment at all times
  • Ensure all safety and sanitation standards are strictly adhered to at all times
  • Ability to responsibly protect guests and the business from all that comes with running a bar
  • Meets the standards of the secret shopper criteria
  • Knowledge of reservation, phone and POS system(s)
  • Takes food and drink orders
  • A full knowledge of all menu items both food and drink. 
  • Able to recreate our drink recipes correctly offering guests consistency
  • Able to take any guest on a tour of what we are and what we have to offer
  • Maintaining and clearing tables/bar during dining experience
  • Constant communication with the team and MOD
  • Understands when to ask for help, within the team
  • Handling and communicating guest special needs or requests
  • Knowledge of guest dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Knowledge of hours of operation, entertainment schedules, restaurant address /phone number
  • Adheres to all safe cash handling procedures/payments
  • Performs all pre/post shift duties, and other duties as assigned by management staf

Compensation: $14.00 / Hourly
