Skyline Hawai‘i is a Maui-based eco-tourism company that offers zipline tours and vehicle tours of Haleakalā National Park. We established the first commercial zipline in the United States and are one of the most awarded tour companies in Hawai‘i.
Job Description
Our Zipline Guides are the best in the business and take pride in offering our guests a safe, exciting, and enriching experience. Primary responsibilities include:
- Ensuring safety of guests. Our Zipline Guides ensure guests are properly fitted with harnesses and helmets, conduct daily inspections of course hardware and equipment, and operate tours in accordance with company safety guidelines.
- Educating guests. Skyline Zipline Guides help guests appreciate key aspects of Hawai‘i’s unique ecosystem and history. (We will provide relevant training and guides are expected to relay this knowledge to guests).
- Demonstrating the highest levels of customer service. Our Zipline Guides operate their tours with the utmost professionalism and treat their guests with respect and generosity.
- Course and equipment maintenance. Zipline Guides will assist with course maintenance, to include trail improvement and mowing, and will clean, sanitize, and organize all safety gear and equipment.
Requirements
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Professional demeanor toward members of the community and Skyline Hawai‘i teammates.
- Ability and willingness to perform physically challenging work, including hiking in uneven terrain, lifting heavy loads, and light manual labor (e.g., mowing, weed whacking, etc.).
- Ability and willingness to follow directions and work independently.
- Strict adherence to policies and protocols related to safety, sanitation, and PPE.
- Current driver’s license.
- Ability and willingness to safely drive company vehicles, to include 4x4 SUVs/trucks and 15-passenger tour vans.
- No requirement for any prior zipline-related training. We conduct extensive in-house training.
