Overall Responsibility
The Housekeeper provides cleaning, laundry service and other domestic services for persons living in the rectory.
Reports to: Pastor Classification: Non-exempt
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develops cleaning schedule to assure rectory is maintained in an orderly manner.
· Cleans the rectory, including but not limited to: kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, patios, etc.
· Cleans by dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing.
· Purchases and/or orders cleaning supplies for the rectory.
· On occasion, prepares meals, including meals for guests or events.
· Provides laundry services and arranges for dry cleaning as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
· Experience in household cleaning
· Ability to work flexible hours.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Be able to lift 50 pounds.
· Speaks and understands English.
· Must have reliable means of transportation.
Physical & Environmental Job Requirements
· Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items
Frequently requires the ability to lift and move heavy and bulky items without assistance.
· May work with hazardous materials or chemicals, areas can be dusty.
