Overview: Join us in an exciting leadership opportunity at the Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation (HCCF) where you will spearhead initiatives that impact the lives of Catholics and families throughout Hawaii. HCCF has received substantial gifts and is dedicated to supporting the growth of the Catholic Church in Honolulu through strategic development, fundraising, and meaningful community engagement.

Role and Responsibilities: As the Executive Director, you will collaborate closely with the Bishop and the Foundation’s board to develop and execute strategic plans, fundraising appeals, and campaigns. You will also help build local and global relationships that advance Hawaii's Catholic faith and support our mission of creating new disciples. Your leadership will be pivotal in guiding the Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation toward more significant impact and sustainability.

A cornerstone of this role will be your involvement in a significant campaign to restore the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in downtown Honolulu. This historic Basilica, where Father Damien was ordained, and was the starting point in the ministry of Mother Marianne Cope holds immense cultural and spiritual significance for Hawaii. By partnering with other faith leaders and community leaders to raise funds for this project, you will directly contribute to its restoration, preserving this treasure of the Catholic faith and positioning the Basilica as a vital center for the revitalization of downtown Honolulu for generations to come.

Qualifications:

· Deep commitment to the Catholic faith and a strong understanding of its teachings and traditions.

· Proven experience in leadership roles in non-profit, communications, fundraising/development, marketing, sales, or public relations.

· Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including donors, clergy, community leaders, and volunteers.

· Strategic thinker with the ability to implement innovative and impactful programs that align with the mission and values of HCCF.

· Experience in managing complex projects and campaigns with measurable outcomes.

· Previous fundraising experience is a plus but not required. Training will be provided as needed.

Position Summary: Lead the strategic growth and success of the Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation

· Cultivate and maintain relationships with individuals, business leaders, foundations and corporations to secure their support

· Coordinate with parishes, schools, and other stakeholders to execute strategies to meet their long-term needs.

· Create and participate in engagement opportunities with the community and help serve as a spokesperson and advocate for the Hawaii Catholic Community Foundation.

· Oversee the development and distribution of marketing and collateral materials

· Oversee the use and stewardship of all donations

· Manage the donor database, overseeing data entry and gift processing.

· Research and request grant funding

Minimum Qualifications Active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community preferred 5-plus years of experience in non-profit, communications, fundraising/development, marketing, sales, or public relations. Bachelor’s degree

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (knowledge of Blackbaud / Raisers Edge a plus)
